The Redwood Empire Food Bank and A Simple Gesture are joining forces this holiday season to make giving easy and impactful. By setting aside a few groceries from your pantry—or picking up a few extra items while you shop—you’ll help provide healthy food for families across Sonoma County.

How to Get Started
- Register to Donate
Enter your zip code at the top, click “Find Chapter”, and select the chapter nearest to you to continue the registration process. - Select a Pick-Up Date
Find the next upcoming pick-up day in your area. You will receive a reminder email before pick-up day. - Leave Your Donation OutOn pick-up day, place a bag or box with nonperishable items on your doorstep. A volunteer will pick it up and leave a reusable bag for your next donation.
A Simple Gesture will send a reminder as the date approaches.

Drive For Good
When you register as a food
donor, you’ll also be invited to become a volunteer driver. Drivers help
pick-up doorstep donations and deliver them to the food bank, ensuring every
bag makes it where it’s needed most.
It’s a simple way to make a big difference—right in your neighborhood.
